Eduardo Sencion, IHOP shooting gunman |
Carrying an AK-47-type assault rifle and reloading it at least once, Eduardo Sencion, 32, walked into the IHOP restaurant and opened fire, killing 4 and wounding 8. Among the dead were reportedly three National Guardsmen and a civilian female.
According to reports, Sencion then turned the rifle on himself eight minutes into the shooting. He was rushed to the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead two hours later.
The motive of the gunman still remains unknown. One police officer said Sencion might have had some "mental issues." Investigation, however, is still undergoing.
At least 30 people were reportedly at IHOP and its vicinity when the shooting incident happened.
