Nectar for Males... Blood for Females

Although male mosquitoes are much bigger than females, they are not harm full for humans, becuase they are nectar feeders. Since certain proteins are needed for reproduction, female mosquito uses blood to produce eggs. There is actually a species of mosquitoes that never drinks blood. Those are Toxorhynchites mosquitoes.
