Tropical Storm Falcon (International name: Meari) "has slightly intensified as it moves away from the country", the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said through its latest June 24 bulletin.
Known locally as Bagyong Falcon, the tropical cyclone was last spotted at 410 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, according to the bulletin.
The bulletin added that Falcon now ha maximum sustained winds of 95 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 120 kph. It is moving at a rate of 22kph North Northwestward.
Public Storm Warning Signal has now been lowered in all areas.
However, Tropical Storm Falcon is still "expected to enhance the southwest monsoon and will bring rains over Luzon and Western Visayas."
