Our very own Salman ‘Sallu’ Khan has grown in front of our eyes. From the romancing womanizer, to the tough mobster, to the comedic cop, we have seen his many faces. This is why he has become one of India’s favorite actors. We love many of his movies, but here are the top 10 movies of Salman Khan.

1. Maine Pyaar Kiya (1989)

 

This is the movie that introduced Salman to the world. He was a young hopeless romantic chasing after his true love. It became the blockbuster hit of the year and the second best hit of the decade.

2. Hum Aapke Hain Koun…! (1994)

 

Five years later, we saw Salman as another romantic lead, but a more fun, immature kind. Paired with roller-skating Madhuri Dixit in this super hit, Hum Aapke Hain Koun is still known today as one of the best Bollywood movies ever. Who could forget such a relatable and easy-flowing movie?

3. Judwaa (1997)

 

In Judwaa, Salman played opposite Rambha and Karisma Kapoor. We saw two sides to him in this movie, literally, a serious law-abiding citizen and a naughty, playful character. The performer was beginning to show his acting prowess.

4. Pyaar Kiya to Darna Kya (1998)

 

Hello, shirtless Salman! His female fan-base probably more than doubled after his rippling muscles made an intro in the movie’s famous song, Oo Jaane Jaana. That is probably the most memorable moment of the movie.

Salman continued to surprise us with his performance in Tere Naam. His portrayal of a man who suffered from a serious head injury that left him practically psychotic was truly amazing. It was a role we never saw Salman play before.

Wanted single-handedly revived Salman’s fading career. His tough guy image officially transformed him from Salman to Sallu. And his line was unforgettable.

From undercover officer, to semi-dirty cop who gets the job done, the security guard look obviously suited Salman. It earned 250 crores worldwide making it the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2010.

10. Bodyguard (2011)

 

Like we said, security detail suits our Sallu. The highly anticipated movie broke opening day records. It also broke single day grossing records. This movie is proof that Salman Khan is here to stay.

Salman Khan fever began one decade ago upon his entry into Bollywood and continues to live on. His movies have proven he is an actor who can portray many characters and that is why we love him.
